There is so much to love about Stevie Nicks, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. After seeing Bella Donna, I had to have a good Stevie Nicks cd. three years ago, Stevie Nicks briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Kind Of Woman”. This album is a scorcher!
Kind Of Woman is probably the most interesting track on Bella Donna. Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Think About It is one of the best records ever. After The Glitter Fades gets you up and jumping. Voice and instruments in Edge Of Seventeen complement each other. How Still My Love very upbeat. Stevie Nicks sings his heart out in Leather and Lace. I’ve found myself listening to Outside The Rain back to back and back many times. Simple and heartfelt closing track The Highwayman closes Bella Donna on a high note.
