I am not a real R&B: Soul music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Live In Brighton’ really is amazing. Stevie Wonder had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Stevie Wonder on ‘Contution’. This album is a scorcher!
Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Live In Brighton is Higher Ground. Mary Wants To Be - I like this one. To Know You Is To Love You gets you up and jumping. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Signed, Sealed and Delivered, which shows, blatantly, how much Stevie Wonder has evolved as a singer. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Sunshine Of My Life (11:51) a good melody. Music and lyrics of Superstition creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. After you’ve listened to Lot Of My Dreams, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate.
