Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Stomu Yamashta on ‘Sunrise’. It has been eleven years Stomu Yamashta’ last studio CD, “The Man From The East” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. On the Brazil charts, superstar Stomu Yamashta’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Enjoy the show.
Stomu Yamashta must have run out of lyrics on the next track My Little Friend. What A Way To Live In Modern T is the albums biggest surprise. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Mountain Pass is my favorite song on The Man From The East. Mandala has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Stomu Yamashta’s strong vocals come to the fore. Stomu Yamashta is one of artists that allow his songs like Memory Of Hiroshima to stand on their own and be heard.
