nine years ago, Suzanne Ciani briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Sirens”. Seven Waves is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Since completing 1982’s ‘Birth Of Venus’, Suzanne Ciani fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. To me Suzanne Ciani is the best band ever.
Sirens is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. What sets Love In the Waves apart is Suzanne Ciani’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Wind In the Sea still maintains something of a specific flourish. Opening track Water Lullaby shows the best of Suzanne Ciani. The sound of Deep In the Sea is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Sailing Away good vocals.
