Since completing 1974’s ‘The Wild One’, Suzi Quatro fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I am not a real Rock: Pop-Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Quatro’ really is amazing. Since Suzi Quatro last CD (Quatro) on Virgin Records back in 1974, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album is awesome.
Lyrics of Keep A-Knocking are precise and evocative. Too Big is one of the best records ever. Klondyke Kate is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Savage Silk is one of these floating songs. Move It catches attention immediately, This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. I find myself hearing bits of Trouble here and there throughout my waking hours. Cat Size is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Shot Of Rhythm and Blues one is one of the better boring ones. Suzi Quatro allows each song to breathe and flourish. Album opener Devil Gate Drive is a bright, upbeat ditty.
