After debuting at No. 1 last week, Sweet’s album Waters Edge falls to No. 2 with 158,000, a sales slide of 71%. Now signed to Sweet’s SixSteps records, the title track from second album “Waters Edge” leads Sweet’s back-to-school campaign. Ivan Grach has compared writing for Sweet’s new album to that on ‘Waters Edge’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Sweet “Waters Edge” is an amazing album.
It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Tell The Truth is probably the most interesting track on Waters Edge. Own Up has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. I’ve found myself listening to Too Much Talking back to back and back many times. Thank You For Loving Me is absolutely incredible. Overall a nice softer song. I like the agression and power of Waters Edge. Hot Shot Gambler is one of my favorite songs by Sweet. Sweet allows each song to breathe and flourish.
