three years ago, Terje Rypdal briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Air”. I am not a real Pop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘After The Rain’ really is amazing. On After The Rain album, Terje Rypdal have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Terje Rypdal “After The Rain” is an amazing album.
This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Now And Then one is one of the better boring ones. This track is a great song that still never gets old. After The Rain is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Blew our minds when we first heard Kjare Maren. Little Bell - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Vintage Year is the more seemingly obscure song on After The Rain that bear up best to repeated listening. I have all of Terje Rypdal’s tracks and Multer is probably the most his introspective effort. Like A Child Like A Song - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites.
