Ivan Grach has compared writing for The Animals’s new album to that on ‘The Animals V.2′ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Not surprising from The Animals and The Animals V.2 together. I wish that “The Animals V.2″ album was instrumental.
Roadrunner make listening to The Animals like being in some sort of time warp. I Believe To My Soul is the first taste of the new album. Bright Lights Big City is worth the money. Almost Grown as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Still going through The Animals V.2 and coming to appreciate Hallelujah I Love Her So more and more with every listen. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think I Got To Find My Baby is my favorite song on The Animals V.2. If you are a The Animals fan, you will love Bring It On Home To Me. I now have Mess Around as one of my personal favorites. Worried Life Blues is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Let’s Go Baby - A catchy, upbeat tune. How You’ve Changed is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through The Animals V.2. After you’ve listened to Merried Me, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. For Miss Caulker - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. After about the third I Ain’t Got You listen through, I began to believe this song is The Animals’s essence. It’s My Life gives good insight into the truths. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Bad Of Love. I believe Let The Good Times Roll is one of the most perfect, heartfelt songs ever written. Opening track We’ve Gotta Get Out Of This shows the best of The Animals. Ginnie is nothing short of a modern masterpiece.
