The Band was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from The Band and Music from Big Pink together. There is no doubt that The Band has talent. It’s natural for The Band to take a stab at ‘Tears Of Rage’ considering her long-professed love for Universal Soul. This is one of The Band best albums
This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. In In A Station you won’t find any flashy solos. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. The Weight marked the continuation of The Band in style evolution. We Can Talk is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. I like the idea behind Long Black Veil. Chest Fever is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Lonesome Suzie is the albums biggest surprise. This Wheel’s On Fire I just LOVE this mix! In I Shall Be Released the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation.
