IF YOU LIKE ALL The Beatles’S SONG GO FOR IT! It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of The Beatles energies, virtually a rebirth. There is so much to love about The Beatles, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Live At The Star-Club In Hamburg (CD 2) is not something you should pass up.
Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets The Beatles’s strong vocals come to the fore. Matchbox has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. I’m Talking About You (2:01) a good melody. Shimmy Shake - A strong beat. Long Tall Sally is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. I Remember You - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of The Beatles. Three Cool Cats - Check out that bassline! Crying Waiting Hoping is almost impossible to review. It took me a little time but I ended up loving September In The Rain. Only one song from Live At The Star-Club In Hamburg (CD 2) named Besamo Mucho really got me. Seakchin’ the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Simple and heartfelt closing track Be-Bop-A-Lula closes Live At The Star-Club In Hamburg (CD 2) on a high note. The Sheik Of Araby is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Best song on the album, love it. Memphis, Tennessee is a astounding sing-along. Sure To Fall (In Love With You) - A nice song. This song stands out greatly from the others.
