The Birthday Party had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. fifteen years ago, The Birthday Party briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “She’s Hit”. It’s natural for The Birthday Party to take a stab at ‘Blast Off’ considering her long-professed love for Universal Soul. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Get Junk Yard and turn on She’s Hit if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Blew our minds when we first heard Dead Joe. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Within the first few notes of Several Sins it’s perfectly clear that The Birthday Party is living this song. Big-Jesus-Trash-Can is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Kiss Me Black make listening to The Birthday Party like being in some sort of time warp. 6″ Gold Blade is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Kewpie Doll - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Junkyard is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Dead Joe hits the heart. Music in Release The Bats is amazing as in all tracks of Junk Yard.
