The Cramps’s debut, ‘Off The Bone’, does not fit easily into one genre. This is the first studio album from The Cramps since bad diagnosis in 1983. eleven years ago, The Cramps briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “The Way I Walk”. The Cramps is one of my favourite bands of all time.
The Way I Walk is one of my favorite songs by The Cramps. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Musically Surfin’ Bird is superior to other tracks in Off The Bone. Lonesome Town - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Grabageman is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Such hits like Fever will leave you hooked. Once Drug Train gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Love Me is the albums biggest surprise. What sets I Can’t Hardly Stand It apart is The Cramps’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Music and lyrics of Goo Goo Muck creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. The opening track She Said is very much like you would expect from other albums. The Crusher - Check out that bassline! Save It is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything The Cramps released so far. New Kind Of Kick can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what The Cramps is all about. Uranium Rock is worth the money. After about the third Good Taste (Live) listen through, I began to believe this song is The Cramps’s essence.
