Boys Don’t Cry (Best Of, Compilation) isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This is the first studio album from The Cure since bad diagnosis in 1980. Lead single “Boys Don’t Cry” and “Plastic Passion” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Boys Don’t Cry and Plastic Passion is really good.
A unique and uplifting song. In 10-15 Saturday Night full palet of sound is used by The Cure to accentuate the presentation. Lyrics of Accuracy are precise and evocative. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Jumping Someone Else’s Train is one of the best records ever. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. If you are a The Cure fan, you will love Killing An Arab. The first time I listened to Fire In Cairo I was struck by its cool sound. Another Day is possibly the best song The Cure has come up. Grinding Halt marked the continuation of The Cure in style evolution. Three Imaginary Boys is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot.
