The Cure’s debut, ‘Pornography (Deluxe Edition) (CD 2)’, does not fit easily into one genre. After debuting at No. 1 last week, The Cure’s album Pornography (Deluxe Edition) (CD 2) falls to No. 2 with 444,000, a sales slide of 50%. It’s natural for The Cure to take a stab at ‘Break (Group Home Demo)’ considering her long-professed love for Army of Lovers. If I may, I suggest “Break (Group Home Demo)”. That one song is amazing!
One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Demise (Studio Demo) because the melody in the chorus is so good. Temptation (Studio Demo) is pretty funky and mellow. I can’t stop playing The Figurehead (Studio Demo). The Hanging Garden (Studio Demo) I just LOVE this mix! In One Hundred Years (Studio Demo) it becomes nowhere more obvious that The Cure has yet to define own style. Airlock: The Soundtrack is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Overall a nice softer song. A Strange Day (Live) is beautiful, yet underrated track. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Pornography (Deluxe Edition) (CD 2) is All Mine (Live). This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. The sound of Siamese Twins (Live) is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect.
