Since The Cure last CD (Seventeen Seconds) on SixSteps records back in 1980, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is the first studio album from The Cure since bad diagnosis in 1980. The Cure had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
The Cure sings Play For Today in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Secrets as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. A fantastic track full of wonder. Three is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think The Final Sound is my favorite song on Seventeen Seconds. I hope to keep hearing The Cure works for a long time to come. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. At Night is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. No The Cure song has come close to capturing my attention as Seventeen Seconds did.
