When you buy a The Cure album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This -song debut EP shows the promise that The Cure has. This is the first studio album from The Cure since bad diagnosis in 1979. The Cure “Three Imaginary Boys (Deluxe Edition) (CD 2)” is an amazing album.
I’m Cold (Sav Studio Demo) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. I Just Need Myself (PSL Studio Demo) is one of these floating songs. 10:15 Saturday Night (RS Home Demo) is outstanding work of The Cure. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: The Cocktail Party (Group Home Demo), which shows, blatantly, how much The Cure has evolved as a singer. Grinding Halt (Group Home Demo) is a very catchy tune. Music in Boys Don’t Cry (Chestnut Studio Demo) is excellent as in all tracks of Three Imaginary Boys (Deluxe Edition) (CD 2). It’s Not You (Chestnut Studio Demo) (3:17) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Blew our minds when we first heard 10:15 Saturday Night (Chestnut Studio Demo). Fire In Cairo (Chestnut Studio Demo) motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Faded Smiles (a.k.a. I Don’t Know; 3IB Studio Out-Take) the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Once you hear Play With Me (3IB Studio Out-Take), you will listen to it over and over. World War is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Boys Don’t Cry is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Jumping Someone Else’s Train is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. No The Cure song has come close to capturing my attention as Accuracy (Live In Nottingham) did. 10:15 Saturday Night (Live In Nottingham) make listening to The Cure like being in some sort of time warp.
