For older fans Punks not dead will put a massive smile accross your face. On the Greece charts, superstar The Exploited’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Lead single “Punks Not Dead” and “Mucky Pup” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Punks not dead.
Mucky Pup - Okay, I just talked about depth. Opening track Cop Cars shows the best of The Exploited. Free Flight is a exquisite, simple song by The Exploited at the top of his game. Army Life is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Blown To Bits is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. This song stands out greatly from the others. S.P.G. - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Royalty can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what The Exploited is all about. I think Dole Q is the best song The Exploited has ever done. Don’t judge Exploited Barmy Army on the first listening. Ripper - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Out Of Control is almost impossible to review. Son Of A Copper is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. I Believe In Anarchy is probably one of The Exploited’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to.
