Mila Sparrow has compared writing for The Lettermen’s new album to that on ‘She Cried’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Since completing 1964’s ‘Put Away Your Teardrops’, The Lettermen fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by The Lettermen. She Cried touched my soul like nothing else.
The first time I listened to Time To Cry I was struck by its exquisite sound. Such hits like Walk On By will leave you hooked. The Lettermen has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Crying is astounding. I like Run To Him because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. She Cried - A strong beat. It’s All In The Game one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Crying hits the heart. Overall a nice softer song. Heartache Oh Heartache is simply excellent. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists.
