This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by The Lounge Lizards. While no new The Lounge Lizards album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1981 tour in Africa. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of The Lounge Lizards on ‘Incident On South Street’. This album is awesome.
Harlem Nocturne is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Do The Wrong Thing (2:42) - awsome. Au Contraire Arto still maintains something of a specific flourish. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Lounge Lizards is Well You Needn’t. Lyrics of Ballad are precise and evocative. A great put together song. Conquest Of Rar is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. I like to sing along with Demented, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. I Remember Coney Island is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Fatty Walks as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Charming song, great melody. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot.
