It’s natural for The Residents to take a stab at ‘Easter Woman’ considering her long-professed love for Orkrist. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by The Residents. This is one of the best Cd’s The Residents has dropped to date. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Perfect Love is the most memorable and gorgeous. Picnic Boy is the more seemingly obscure song on Commercial Album that bear up best to repeated listening. End Of Home is one of the coolest songs The Residents has ever recorded. Amber have really caught my ear and imagination. Japanese Watercolor - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. I now have Secrets as one of my personal favorites. Die In Terror great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Red Rider - I just love it. My Second Wife is cool and different song. Nice and different song. The Residents rocks harder than ever with Suburban Bathers. Dimples And Toes sets the tone for the entire album. This track is clearly meant to showcase The Residents’s vocal abilities. Love Leaks Out was the first single release from the album Commercial Album. Act Of Being Polite is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Medicine Man - For me, this is the best of the album. I can’t stop playing Tragic Bells. Loss Of Innocence makes a person feel astounding. This track is a great song that still never gets old. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Possessions is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. I like the agression and power of Give It To Someone Else. Music in Phantom is perfect as in all tracks of Commercial Album. Less Not More - A nice song. My Work Is So Behind is one of these floating songs. Birds In The Trees is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Handful Of Desire has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets The Residents’s strong vocals come to the fore. Moisture defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Love Is… is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Troubled Man is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. The Residents allows each song to breathe and flourish. Loneliness presents the cool mix of instruments on Commercial Album. Once Nice Old Man gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. The Talk Of Creatures still maintains something of a specific flourish. The song Fingertips ending is my favorite… so catchy! In Between Dreams as a highlight of Commercial Album contains a ton of exquisite melodies. The Residents breathes new life into the music in Margaret Freeman. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. I was truly moved when I heard When We Were Young.
