‘Mark of the Mole’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Mark of the Mole isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Mark of the Mole carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
The Ultimate Disaster is the funkiest number on the album. Migration is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Another Land is the albums biggest surprise. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Mark of the Mole. Final Confrontation the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Lights Out / Shorty’s Lament is one of the best records ever. The Moles are Coming (intermis gives taste of what makes The Residents special as a musician. Would We Be Alive (intermissio is amazing and different song. The New Hymn (recessional) is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle.
