twelve years ago, The Ventures briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Ginza Lights”. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by The Ventures. The Ventures was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from The Ventures and Go With The Ventures together. Go With The Ventures is the best essence of The Ventures.
In Ginza Lights it becomes nowhere more obvious that The Ventures has yet to define own style. These Boots Are Made For Walki is a song to enjoy for years to come. One listen to the sheer beauty of Frankie And Johnny was all I needed. Ad-Venture is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Monday Monday is the albums biggest surprise. Good Lovin is the funkiest number on the album. Album opener Eight Miles Hight is a bright, upbeat ditty. Escape is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Sloop John B is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Opening track Caliphornia Dreamin shows the best of The Ventures.
