It has been seven years The Ventures’ last studio CD, “Going To The Ventures Dance Party” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. This album has some very good songs like Mr. Moto and Theme From Come September. There is no doubt that The Ventures has talent. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Theme From Come September
It’s such an underrated song. Simple and heartfelt closing track Ya Ya Wobble closes Going To The Ventures Dance Party on a high note. Night Drive - Check out that bassline! Best song on the album, love it. This track is clearly meant to showcase The Ventures’s vocal abilities. Excellent vocals and musical performances. First time I heard Sweet And Lovely was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Limbo Rock - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. The Ventures sings Lolita Ya-Ya in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Loco-Motion is another strong production from The Ventures. Gully-ver had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Wild Night is a striking and quite long song. I like the agression and power of El Cumbanchero. Once you hear Lady Of Spain, you will listen to it over and over.
