Knock Me Out carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. On Knock Me Out album, The Ventures have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. The Ventures was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from The Ventures and Knock Me Out together. This is my first The Ventures Album and i must say i am blown away.
I believe Love Potion Number Nine is one of the most amazing, heartfelt songs ever written. Tomorrow’s Love is absolutely incredible. Oh, Pretty Woman is one of the more up-tempo songs on Knock Me Out. In Mariner No. 4 full palet of sound is used by The Ventures to accentuate the presentation. When You Walk In The Room gives good insight into the truths. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. She’s Not There - arguably the best track on Knock Me Out album. Lonely Girl is the most memorable and cool. The opening track Bird Rockers is very much like you would expect from other albums. Sha La La marked the continuation of The Ventures in style evolution.
