This sixteen-song debut EP shows the promise that The Ventures has. There is so much to love about The Ventures, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Wabash Cannonball - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. I Walk The Line - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Wildwood Flower - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. I Can’t Stop Loving You is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. I hope to keep hearing The Ventures works for a long time to come. Steel Guitar Rag on Play The Country Classics is solid and easy to listen to. You Are My Sunshine has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets The Ventures’s strong vocals come to the fore. Oh, Lonesome Me is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Sugarfoot Rag is pretty funky and mellow. It’s such an underrated song. Within the first few notes of Kern County Line it’s perfectly clear that The Ventures is living this song. Storefront Lawyers was the first single release from the album Play The Country Classics. I love the melodic melody of Too Young To Know My Mind and to this day it makes me feel good.
