There is no doubt that The Ventures has talent. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by The Ventures. The Ventures was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from The Ventures and The Ventures Collection together. This is what good Ethnic should be.
Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Memphis. Rebel Rouser - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Apache marked the continuation of The Ventures in style evolution. Bulldog is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Pipeline is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. No The Ventures song has come close to capturing my attention as Telstar did. Hawaii Five-O - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of The Ventures. Don’t judge Tequila on the first listening. Wheels is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. I was truly moved when I heard Bumble Bee Rock. Slaughter On The 10th Avenue stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Ghost Riders In The Sky is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Perfidia motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Let’s Go very upbeat. Green Onions is another favourite of mine. I find myself hearing bits of Raunchy here and there throughout my waking hours. You have to get essence of the House Of The Rising Sun’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. The Ventures sings his heart out in Rock Nuts. Walk Don’t Run ‘64 has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets The Ventures’s strong vocals come to the fore. Wipe Out is a very catchy tune. The Ventures has astounded me with this amazing track. A great put together song. Song Caravan is actually a funny song. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Put Driving Guitars into car stereo for your highway driving Sleepwalk is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot.
