Since completing 1960’s ‘Morgen’, The Ventures fulfilled their contract with EMI Records and where under no obligation to release another album. five years ago, The Ventures briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Raunchy”. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of The Ventures on ‘Morgen’. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
Raunchy can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what The Ventures is all about. Home is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. My Own True Love is almost impossible to review. If you are a The Ventures fan, you will love The Switch. The Ventures must have run out of lyrics on the next track Walk Don’t Run. The song feels complete. No Trespassing is one of the best records ever. I now have Caravan as one of my personal favorites. Sleep Walk is probably one of The Ventures’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. I listened to the opening track The McCoy and liked it a lot. Honky Tonk is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined.
