I Love Plays Duke Ellington from start to finish!
Simple and heartfelt closing track Caravan closes Plays Duke Ellington on a high note. I Don’t Mean A Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing) - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Thelonious Monk. I Got It Bad and That’s Ain’t Good is probably the most interesting track on Plays Duke Ellington. Music and lyrics of I Let A Song Go Out Of My Heart creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Such hits like Mood Indigo will leave you hooked. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Sophisticated Lady is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood.
