It has been two years Top Billboard’ last studio CD, “Billboard Top 100 - 1972″ which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This is one of the best Cd’s Top Billboard has dropped to date. Lead single “Roberta Flack - First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and “Gilbert O’sullivan - Alone Again (Naturally)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Gilbert O’sullivan - Alone Again (Naturally) is probably the most interesting track on Billboard Top 100 - 1972. After you’ve listened to Don Mclean - American Pie, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Harry Nilsson - Can’t Live if Living Is Without You is the funkiest number on the album. Sammy Davis Jr. - Candy Man is the albums biggest surprise. Joe Tex - I Gotcha is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Bill Withers - Lean On Me is pretty funky and mellow. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Mac Davis - Baby Don’t Get Hooked On Me because the melody in the chorus is so good. Once Melanie - Brand New Key gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Wayne Newton - Daddy Don’t You Walk So Fast - To me, this is the best song on the Billboard Top 100 - 1972. Al Green - Let’s Stay Together is the most memorable and amazing. Looking Glass - Brandy - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Top Billboard. Chi-Lites - Oh Girl is one of the more up-tempo songs on Billboard Top 100 - 1972. Gallery - Nice to Be with You (2:37) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Chuck Berry - My Ding-a-Ling is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. From the moment you listen to Luther Ingram - if Loving You Is Wrong (I Don’t Want To you’re hooked. Neil Young - Heart Of Gold is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Stylistics - Betcha by Golly Wow is probably the highlight of the album. Top Billboard must have run out of lyrics on the next track Staple Singers - I’ll Take You There. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Top Billboard has astounded me with this amazing track. Billy Preston - Outa-Space is a great opener for Billboard Top 100 - 1972. War - Slippin’ into Darkness - A nice song. The sound of Hollies - Long Cool Woman (in a Black Dress) is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. I can’t stop playing Mouth & Macneal - How Do You Do. Neil Diamond - Song Sung Blue great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.America - Horse with No Name - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Hot Butter - Popcorn is one of the best records ever. Main Ingredient - Everybody Plays the Fool is another strong production from Top Billboard. Climax - Precious and Few has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Top Billboard’s strong vocals come to the fore. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. After about the third Moody Blues - Nights in White Satin listen through, I began to believe this song is Top Billboard’s essence. Raspberries - Go All the Way - This one is lively and fun. You can find feelings on this piece of art. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Billboard Top 100 - 1972. Osmonds - Down by the Lazy River on Billboard Top 100 - 1972 is solid and easy to listen to. Jonathan Edwards - Sunshine - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. I loved Mel & Tim - Starting All Over Again the first time I heard it. Badfinger - Day After Day is a fine track on any terms. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Elton John - Rocket Man is my favorite song on Billboard Top 100 - 1972. In Jackson 5 - Rockin’ Robin Top Billboard is at his best. Daniel Boone - Beautiful Sunday is a song to enjoy for years to come. Dennis Coffey & the Detroit Guitar Band - Scorpio is a bit different from Top Billboard stereotypical stuff. Cat Stevens - Morning Has Broken is almost impossible to review. Once you hear Arlo Guthrie - City Of New Orleans, you will listen to it over and over. Rick Nelson - Garden Party - I just love it. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Music in Elvis Presley - Burning Love is astounding as in all tracks of Billboard Top 100 - 1972. I listened to the opening track Betty Wright - Clean Up Woman and liked it a lot. Argent - Hold Your Head Up is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Billboard Top 100 - 1972 have ended. I think Chakachas - Jungle Fever is the best song Top Billboard has ever done. Bread - Everything I Own is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Top Billboard released so far. Dramatics - in the Rain is a amazing sing-along. Al Green - Look What You Done for Me is Top Billboard’s best work in years. Music and lyrics of Donna Fargo - Happiest Girl in the Whole Usa creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway - Where Is the Love - A catchy, upbeat tune. T Rex - Bang a Gong (Get It On) - I like this one. Paul Simon - Mother and Child Reunion is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Al Green - I’m Still in Love with You is one of the coolest songs Top Billboard has ever recorded. Derek & the Dominos - Layla is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Aretha Franklin - Day Dreaming is a astounding, simple song by Top Billboard at the top of his game. What sets Cher - Way Of Love apart is Top Billboard’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Three Dog Night - Black and White is astounding song though, very addictive. Dr Hook - Sylvia’s Mother is simply cool. Carpenters - Hurting Each Other is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. I now have Harry Nilsson - Coconut as one of my personal favorites. Beverly Bremers - Don’t Say You Don’t Remember gives good insight into the truths. Donny Osmond - Puppy Love very upbeat. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen - Hot Rod Linco motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Sonny & Cher - a Cowboy’s Work Is Never Done is one of the best records ever. Apollo 100 - Joy stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Voice of Top Billboard in Carly Simon - Anticipation is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. I was truly moved when I heard Three Dog Night - Never Been to Spain. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Alice Cooper - School’s Out is a strong cut, one of many. Chicago - Saturday in the Park is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Joe Simon - Drowning in the Sea Of Love is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Bill Withers - Use Me is the song that really did it for me. Album opener Sly & the Family Stone- Family Affair is a bright, upbeat ditty. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Billboard Top 100 - 1972 is Jimmy Castor Bunch - Troglodyte. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Billboard Top 100 - 1972. Curtis Mayfield - Freddie’s Dead hits the heart. Joe Simon - Power Of Love is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Voice and instruments in Jerry Butler & Brenda Lee Eager - Ain’t Understanding complement each other. The sound in Harry Chapin - Taxi is really warm and Top Billboard’s signature voice is still very much present. Charming song, great melody. Todd Rundgren - I Saw the Light - Top Billboard first major hit. I like the idea behind Sailcat - Motorcycle Mama. I like the agression and power of Godspell - Day by Day. Yes - Roundabout is just simply stunning. This track is full of harmonies and gets Billboard Top 100 - 1972 off to a relaxing start. This song is dynamic and dramatic. As always, Top Billboard’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. There is perfect mix of music in Detroit Emeralds - Baby Let Me Take You (in My Arms). No Top Billboard song has come close to capturing my attention as Rick Springfield - Speak to the Sky did. Hillside Singers - I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing is really the reason why I recommend buying Billboard Top 100 - 1972. Love Unlimited Orchestra - Walking in the Rain with The - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. In James Brown - Good Foot (Part 1) you won’t find any flashy solos. This track is just fantastic from start to finish.
