It has been eight years Top Billboard’ last studio CD, “Billboard Top 30 - 1955″ which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. ‘Billboard Top 30 - 1955′ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Top Billboard has. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Bill Haley & His Comets - Rock Around The Clock is exquisite and different song. Lyrics of Mitch Miller - The Yellow Rose Of Texas are precise and evocative. When I listen to Roger Williams - Autumn Leaves in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. After few listenings I started to like Les Baxter - Unchained Melody more and more. Bill Hayes - The Ballad Of Davy Crockett one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Four Aces - Love Is A Many Splendored Thing is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Pat Boone - Ain’t That A Shame rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. This song may be the most meaningful. Crazy Otto - Crazy Otto Medley I & II I just LOVE this mix! Billy Vaughn - Melody Of Love is simple, dignified and effective, Top Billboard refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Tennessee Ernie Ford - Sixteen Tons - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Frank Sinatra - Learnin’ The Blues is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Fontane Sisters - Hearts Of Stone is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Billboard Top 30 - 1955 have ended. Georgia Gibbs - Tweedle Dee is one of the best records ever. Four Lads - Moments To Remember is perfect. Chordettes - Mr. Sandman - My least favorite song on this album. One listen to the sheer beauty of Joan Weber - Let Me Go Lover was all I needed. Nat King Cole - A Blossom Fell to me is the best you can get from Top Billboard. Al Hibbler - Unchained Melody is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Top Billboard released so far. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Fess Parker - The Ballad Of Davy Crockett. Art Mooney - Honey Babe is outstanding work of Top Billboard. Top Billboard has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Perry Como - Ko Ko Mo is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Ames Brothers - The Naughty Lady Of Shady Lane - A catchy, upbeat tune. Gisele Mackenzie - Hard To Get - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Jaye P. Morgan - That’s All I Want From You gives taste of what makes Top Billboard special as a musician. I’ve found myself listening to Platters - Only You back to back and back many times. This is one hell of a track.
