This disc has all of the essential Tri Yann classics. Tri Yann’s debut, ‘Dix Ans, Dix Filles’, does not fit easily into one genre. On Dix Ans, Dix Filles album, Tri Yann have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Enjoy the show.
Hirvoudou is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Liberty is pretty funky and mellow. The first time I listened to Age de Vingt Ans I was struck by its gorgeous sound. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. The sound in Rond de Saint-Vincent is really warm and Tri Yann’s signature voice is still very much present. Strong, powerful vocals of Tri Yann in Heidless Cross are very impressive. Jig is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Dix Ans, Dix Filles. Rising O’ the Moon - A strong beat. Chansonnette Pour Paplar has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Charming song, great melody. Abandon….la Saison can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Tri Yann is all about.
