La Decouverte Ou L’ignorance isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This is the first studio album from Tri Yann since bad diagnosis in 1976. Self-described as Celtic with lots of words, Tri Yann comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is my first Tri Yann Album and i must say i am blown away.
Complainte Gallaiset is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Music of Bottie d’ Asperges is gentle, never overbearing. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Kiss the Children, which shows, blatantly, how much Tri Yann has evolved as a singer. Jument de Michao - A strong beat. Once you hear Mrs Mac Dermott, you will listen to it over and over. Levee des 300.000 Homme - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Mariage Insolite de Marie la Bretonne is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Derobee de Guingamp have really caught my ear and imagination. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Grand Valet gets you up and jumping. Decouverte ou l’Ignora motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others.
