Under The Blade carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Under The Blade isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. It’s natural for Twisted Sister to take a stab at ‘What You Don’t Know (Sure Can Hurt You)’ considering her long-professed love for East 17. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Twisted Sister ever.
Bad Boys (Of Rock ‘n’ Roll) without a doubt is the standout song of Under The Blade. Vocals of Twisted Sister in Run For Your Life really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Sin After Sin is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Twisted Sister must have run out of lyrics on the next track Shoot ‘em Down. Destroyer - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. The opening track Under The Blade is very much like you would expect from other albums. Twisted Sister allows each song to breathe and flourish. I’ll Never Grow Up, Now - Okay, I just talked about depth. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion.
