Now signed to Ultravox’s Virgin Records, the title track from second album “Quartet” leads Ultravox’s back-to-school campaign. Ultravox’s debut, ‘Quartet’, does not fit easily into one genre. This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Ultravox has. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Serenade is the albums biggest surprise. After you’ve listened to Mine For Life, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Hymn gives good insight into the truths. I like the agression and power of Vision’s in Blue. When the Scream Subsides one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. We Came to Dance is a striking and quite long song. Such hits like Cut and Run will leave you hooked. The Song (We Go) is pretty funky and mellow. I’ve found myself listening to Hosanna (In Excelsis Deo) back to back and back many times. Monument have really caught my ear and imagination. Break Your Back - I like this one. Overlook is the most memorable and cool.
