On High and Mighty album, Uriah Heep have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. IF YOU LIKE ALL Uriah Heep’S SONG GO FOR IT! It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Uriah Heep energies, virtually a rebirth. High and Mighty touched my soul like nothing else.
I now have Can’t Stop Singing as one of my personal favorites. Confession is probably one of Uriah Heep’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Footprints In The Snow is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. First time I heard Make A Little Love was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.I like to sing along with Midnight, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Misty Eyes - A strong beat. Name Of The Game (previously…..) is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. One Way Or Another is one of the best records ever. Listening to Sundown (previously unrelaes…..) you can hear that Uriah Heep has still amazing chemistry with band members. I love the melodic melody of Weep In Silence and to this day it makes me feel good. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in High and Mighty.
