Since completing 1982’s ‘(Oh) Pretty Woman’, Van Halen fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Now signed to Van Halen’s Capitol Records, the title track from second album “Diver Down” leads Van Halen’s back-to-school campaign. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Cathedral as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. This song stands out greatly from the others. In Hang ‘Em High full palet of sound is used by Van Halen to accentuate the presentation. Happy Trails sets the tone for the entire album. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Little Guitars I just LOVE this mix! I like the idea behind Little Guitars (Intro). Secrets is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Diver Down is The Full Bug. Album opener Where Have All The Good Times Gone! is a bright, upbeat ditty.
