This is one of the best Cd’s Van Halen has dropped to date. Van Halen was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Van Halen and V.H.-2 together. There were many famous songs of Van Halen available. IT makes me wanna dance!
Dance The Night Away stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Somebody Get Me A Doctor pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Bottoms Up! is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Outta Love Again is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Light Up The Sky was the first single release from the album V.H.-2. Spanish Fly is simple, dignified and effective, Van Halen refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. In D.O.A. the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Women In Love. Beatiful Girls is perfect.
