While no new Vangelis and Irene Papas album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1978 tour in South America. Since completing 1978’s ‘Les 40 Braves’, Vangelis and Irene Papas fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is one of the best Cd’s Vangelis and Irene Papas has dropped to date. If I may, I suggest “Les 40 Braves”. That one song is amazing!
Neranzoula (Le petit orange) is the first taste of the new album. Vangelis and Irene Papas breathes new life into the music in La Danse Du Feu. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Although Le Fleuve is very melodic it is far from sad. I came to like Racines. Vangelis and Irene Papas has astounded me with this amazing track. Menousis is perfect.
