Since completing 1979’s ‘In The Navy’, Village People fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This album has some very good songs like In The Navy and Go West. This is the first studio album from Village People since bad diagnosis in 1979. This album is awesome.
Opening track Go West shows the best of Village People. What sets Citizens Of The World apart is Village People’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. I Wanna Shake Your Hand is the albums biggest surprise. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Manhattan Woman was the first single release from the album Go West.
