It has been fourteen years Wailing Souls’ last studio CD, “Soul and Power” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Self-described as Pop with lots of words, Wailing Souls comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Wailing Souls energies, virtually a rebirth. Great Pop right here!
02-tou should have known is the song that really did it for me. 03-don’t fight is probably the most interesting track on Soul and Power. 04-hot road on Soul and Power is solid and easy to listen to. 05-run my people gets you up and jumping. Best song on the album, love it. 07-i’ve got a burning fire is just simply stunning. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Soul and Power. Musically 09-everybody talking is superior to other tracks in Soul and Power. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with 10-all alone. After about the third 11-stick toghether listen through, I began to believe this song is Wailing Souls’s essence.
