Self-described as Jazz: Fusion with lots of words, Weather Report comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. ‘8:30 (CD 1)’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Weather Report on ‘Black Market’. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Scarlet Woamn
Scarlet Woamn is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Opening track A Remark You Made shows the best of Weather Report. Slang is a perfect sing-along. Music and lyrics of In A Silent Way creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming.
