It has been fourteen years William Christie, Les Arts Florissants’ last studio CD, “Les Arts Florissants, H.487″ which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. It’s natural for William Christie, Les Arts Florissants to take a stab at ‘Ouverture’ considering her long-professed love for Depeche Mode. While no new William Christie, Les Arts Florissants album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1982 tour in South America. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Scene 1 La Musique Que mes divins concerts
Best song on the album, love it. Scene 1 Air des Guerries is a song to enjoy for years to come. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Scene 2 Entrie de Furies still maintains something of a specific flourish. The first time I listened to Scene 3 I was struck by its gorgeous sound. Scene 4 presents the exquisite mix of instruments on Les Arts Florissants, H.487. Scene 5 Chaconne is another favourite of mine. Scene 5 Sarabande en rondeau is worth the money.
