It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Wings energies, virtually a rebirth. John Digester has compared writing for Wings’s new album to that on ‘London Town’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This is one of the best Cd’s Wings has dropped to date. One of Wings’s best albums yet.
Cafe On The Left Bank - Okay, I just talked about depth. I’m Carrying make listening to Wings like being in some sort of time warp. I now have Backwards Traveller as one of my personal favorites. One listen to the sheer beauty of Cuff Link was all I needed. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. In With A Little Luck Wings is at his best. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Famous Groupies. I like to sing along with Deliver Your Children, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Musically Name and Address is superior to other tracks in London Town. Don’t Let It Bring You Down very upbeat. Morse Moose and The Grey Goose is one of these floating songs. Girls’ School has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Mull Of Kintyre is another strong production from Wings.
