‘Over The Edge’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. It has been seven years Wipers’ last studio CD, “Over The Edge” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Over The Edge carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Over The Edge constantly brilliant.
Doom Town is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. So Young defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Over The Edge is Messenger. Romeo has a fun tempo. A great put together song. What Is is another favourite of mine. No One Wants An Alien is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. After you’ve listened to The Lonely One, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. No Generation Gap is a bit different from Wipers stereotypical stuff. This Time is one of the coolest songs Wipers has ever recorded. Mistaken Id is Wipers’s best work in years. The song No Solution ending is my favorite… so catchy! |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Some call The Lonely One from Over The Edge as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Now Is The Time is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Wipers must have run out of lyrics on the next track Romeo. Our Past Life is a very catchy tune.
