After seeing I Thank You, I had to have a good ZZ Top cd. Now signed to ZZ Top’s Blue Note Records, the title track from second album “Deguello” leads ZZ Top’s back-to-school campaign. After debuting at No. 1 last week, ZZ Top’s album Deguello falls to No. 2 with 139,000, a sales slide of 54%. Deguello touched my soul like nothing else.
Deguello couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track She Loves My Automobile. ZZ Top offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is A Fool For Your Stockings. Manic Mechanic (2:36) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Dust My Broom - This is a very lively song. This song stands out greatly from the others. The song feels complete. I can’t stop playing Cheap Sunglasses. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Deguello.
