There is so much to love about ZZ Top, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of ZZ Top on ‘Tush’. This disc has all of the essential ZZ Top classics. I wish that “The Best Of Zz Top” album was instrumental.
ZZ Top sings Waitin’ For The Bus in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. The song Jesus Just Left Chicago ending is my favorite… so catchy! This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Just Got Paid is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. La Grange gives good insight into the truths. Listening to Blue Jean Blues you can hear that ZZ Top has still amazing chemistry with band members. I believe Backdoor Love Affair is one of the most marvelous, heartfelt songs ever written. Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers is a very catchy tune. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists.
